Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, January 2: Surprise!
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal the Johnson ladies are both part of surprises. One teaser has Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) giving Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) a big surprise. We know she’s been missing Steve, even while she’s happy he’s helping keep Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) safe. So, we figure she’s come up with something to lure him away for another night so they can ring in the new year together. Not to mention, give Stephanie and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) another night of privacy.
As for Stephanie, she’ll get a surprise of her own from Alex. We’re not sure what exactly he has in store. But we do know from another video these two are the next couple to walk down the aisle. So, we can’t help but wonder if there’s a New Year engagement about to happen. We’ll see.

Elsewhere, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez’s (Al Calderon) wedding day is here. Should be a happy occasion, but we’re anticipating the average drama of a Salem wedding. One, we know Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) is supposed to return Friday, January 2. So, that can only be trouble, in our opinion.
Second, Leo’s scared and late to the party, so to speak. Javi and everyone else are wondering where he is, especially Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) after their chat. Since they’re standing at the aisle in this week’s preview, it seems Leo comes to his senses. However, it seems obvious Javi is going to have to sweat it out a bit more before Leo arrives.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, January 2: Problems everywhere
Finally, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Gwen runs into something that has her frustrated. We think one can take their pick here! EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has her and Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) holding down the fort while he sees to his daughter in Italy. So, any number of issues could come up with Rita. Or Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). This could also be learning Dimitri got loose. After all, she and EJ are the reason he disappeared. In fact, we wonder if Dimitri wrote that letter to Leo at all. It wouldn’t be the first time someone’s forged a letter. Or forced someone to write one under duress.
