The episode for Tuesday, December 16 will be the typical look into the aftermath and countermeasures being put into place.
The Abbotts are smarting after the hit pieces Newman Media put out. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) thinks Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) spilled their plans to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will disagree and plan to counter the libelist accusations of Jabot going under with balanced news.
It’s odd seeing him being one of the level headed ones around.
Meanwhile, Victor will be clucking away in joy at watching Jabot and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) burn.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will regret what he did, but not enough to do anything. After the others file out, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be furious.
Since she was supposed to get Jabot, she’ll realize Victor betrayed her and he won’t hide it.
Gee, imagine that! Everyone knows he betrays everyone, yet they keep making deals with him. Stupid is as stupid does.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for Tuesday, December 16: Billy’s on the ball
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers are surprised that Billy is the one keeping a level head on retaliating while Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) do damage control.
Their launch went well, and he’ll advise Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) they have to respond responsibly or they’ll make it worse.
It’ll help that Newman Media’s articles are poorly written. Guess that’s Adam sticking it to the old man?
Billy and Sally will come up with a game plan to discredit the news. A big way would be to point out they’re biased and are part of the opposition.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for Tuesday, December 16: Phyllis is a fool
For the millionth time, someone believed what Victor promised despite knowing he’d betray them.
This is a new lever of lazy writing, like we haven’t seen it a dozen times in the last year. But somehow, Phyllis lost a hundred IQ points to make this deal.
She was under stress to prove herself, to be the best, yadda, yadda, yadda, add in Victor’s smirk.
The question now is what will she do about it? Will she hack into Newman and steal back the AI and turn it on him?
We doubt it. We think the writers are saving that for Nikki. Unless Victor buys her another company.
In that case, Jack will have to fight back and rebuild showing grit Victor thinks he has anymore.
