‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers here and we’re ready to set the stage for another fun week in Fairmont Crest.
The week of Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 5 looks like it’s going to be a fun one.
Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) will get tired of being criticized when Dani Dupree (Karla Mosely) refers to her as a madam at the club.
She’ll take it out on Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), while Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) will tell Smitty Smith (Mike Manning) Joey has leverage over him.
Romance is in the air as Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) will get stuck in the hospital’s cursed elevator.
There have been hints of a relationship growing between them, and this looks like it’s going to be it.

‘Beyond the Gates Spoilers may be in the minority in liking Vanessa and Joey as a couple.
They definitely have a shelf life unless there’s some serious growth, and we’ve come to their first major road bump.
Dani’s going to witness Vanessa pimping out Joey’s escort service at the club. We guess Dani doesn’t know how well entrenched they are there?
Vanessa will take offence at being implied to be a pimp, so Dani will use madam instead.
Word of this will get back to Joey, and Vanessa won’t be happy at the wakeup call he gives her.
Meanwhile, it looks like Smitty and Martin will start thinking of how to bring Joey down. Martin will tell Smitty Joey basically owns him with what he knows.
Knowing Smitty, we think it’s only a matter of time until he starts digging.

It’s taken a minute, but it looks like Ted will follow his ex wife’s lead and start to move on with his life.
Granted, he won’t be in a rush and it’ll be a typical soap opera romance when he and Shanice get stuck in the elevator.
The fact Shanice refers to it as being cursed has us laughing and looking forward to their forced bonding.
After all, what else could happen in a stuck elevator when there’s no pregnant women around?
