Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) may break out of prison again. Kristen confessed to the crime of shooting her brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kristen Was Forced To Make A Life-Altering Decision
The catch? She was only protecting her ten-year-old daughter, Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), who actually did shoot EJ.
Kristen has broken out of prison before and may do so again. As a DiMera, Kristen is a conniving, smart, and resourceful woman. It would be classic Kristen for her to escape from Statesville.
We could also see Kristen’s old pal, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), helping Kristen break out of prison. Gwen and Kristen are both cut from the same cloth. Together, they could devise a foolproof plan to bust her loose.
Protecting Rachel from consequences won’t benefit her in the long run. Rachel is clearly traumatized. Not only because she pulled the trigger on her uncle, EJ, but also because her mother is now in prison.
Rachel is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. She needs help fast, and it does her no favors to shield her from the truth.
The child will no doubt eventually remember what really happened the night EJ was shot and her role in the event.
Granted, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) had made an assessment of Rachel’s condition and deduced that she was suffering from dissociative amnesia.
Her mind is protecting her from remembering the traumatic events that occurred. EJ made Kristen come to a rash decision. She confessed at the last minute because his son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), could have gone to prison.
EJ expressly warned Kristen that he wasn’t about to sacrifice his son to save her daughter. Kristen really didn’t have time to think anything through since the jury was deliberating at that very moment.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kristen Might Need Urgent “Medical Attention”
We don’t doubt for a second that Kristen would move heaven and earth to protect her daughter. However, if Rachel somehow remembered and had a mental breakdown as a result, it might prompt Kristen to take action and make an escape.
Ironically, Gwen was in Horton Square when she overheard Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) state what would have been the outcome of the trial. The jury was going to issue a not guilty verdict for Johnny.
Gwen knows that Kristen wouldn’t be so selfless in sacrificing her freedom unless something major was at stake, such as her daughter’s well-being.
Perhaps, Gwen will push Kristen to admit that she didn’t really try to kill her brother after all. Since it doesn’t seem likely that Kristen will be given a get out of jail free card, a jail breakout is most likely what will occur.
Imagine Kristen wearing a clever disguise to fool the guards and get past everyone who gets in her way. Kristen could also have Gwen set up a way in which she’s somehow injured and must go to the hospital for treatment.
Prisons are legally required to provide their inmates with the necessary medical treatment for any injuries they incur during their stay.
If Kristen stages a situation in which she’s “harmed” somehow, they would have to allow her to go to the hospital.
Regardless, spoilers indicate that Kristen will break out of prison one way or another in early 2026. It’s going to be interesting to see what the circumstances will be and how she’ll manage to get out of there.
