General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, August 20 reveal Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has some hard news to break. Meanwhile, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has a new case to deal with. Plus, an investigation begins that could be someone’s downfall. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, August 20: Sad turn
First, General Hospital spoilers reveal Lucas delivers bad news. Now, we did see that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) survived whatever specifically happened. However, it looks like she won’t be waking up any time soon. And the whole incident will have people asking questions. For example, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) will want to know why Maxie’s heart suddenly failed. It’s a good question, and obviously tied to that cream she used. We assume the bottle she used to apply some to herself was tampered with. We expect this to be a mystery that will play out for a while.
As for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins), she is shaken by this sudden crisis. We imagine if Maxie is in a coma as we suspect she will be, this will trigger Lulu on multiple levels. She’ll be reminded of her own recent awakening, and feel horrible for what Maxie could lose if she were to remain in a coma for years like Lulu did.
General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, August 20: Hard truth
In other news, Alexis takes on a new client. This will be Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), who was just questioned about her handling of Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) case. Apparently, Stella’s visit to Alexis isn’t going to make her feel any better about this investigation. As they talk, Alexis will get more details. This will lead her to tell Stella that whatever she’s done is, by the insurance company’s definition, fraud. Looks like she and Martin are both going to need an attorney soon! And, once again, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has caused some chaos in people’s lives in the name of getting revenge.
General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, August 20: Investigation’s on
Finally, speaking of Drew, General Hospital spoilers tease he’s incensed. We’re guessing that his plan to send Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to prison might not be working as well (or as fast) as he wants to. While it’s clear ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) is playing along with his pressing charges, we think her ultimate goal is to poke holes in his story that will lead to exposing Drew’s corruption.
Whatever happens there, she will end up having a bit of a confrontation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He’ll want to know if Turner is going after Michael. We’ll see if she assures him she’s focusing on Drew instead of Michael.
