‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that in February, it was revealed that Hank Northrop would be coming onto the soap.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Hank Is The Son Of The Late Wayne Northrop
It’s a significant development as Hank is the son of the late Wayne Northrop, who played Roman Brady on the show from 1981 to 1984 and again from 1991 to 1994.
Sadly, Hank’s father, Wayne, passed away in November 2024 after his brave battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Hank’s mother and Wayne’s wife is none other than General Hospital actress Lynn Herring, who plays Lucy Coe. Hank is the product of daytime royalty.
Recently, it was disclosed that the original six-month gap between filming and air date has become longer, as there are now nine months in between, which the show does to save money.
Billy Flynn is still airing as Chad DiMera until 2026. However, Flynn has already stopped filming, and Northrop has started filming.
Flynn is going to play on “The Young and the Restless,” and it won’t be long until fans can see him in action in both Genoa City and Salem at the same time.
Nothing has been determined as to whether Day’s character, Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord), or Chad’s children, Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) and Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher).
The way the story is playing out, it’s obvious that Cat and Chad will likely get together, and there has been no indication that Cat is on her way out.
McCord originally signed a one-year contract with the show in December 2023, but she’s still playing the quirky but lovable character of Cat Greene.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Timeline Suggests Hank May Pick Up Where Billy Left Off
It’s conceivable that McCord will stay on the Peacock soap and have a romance with Chad. The two of them have been dancing around each other, and it’s clear there is a mutual attraction.
Chad was gracious enough to forgive Cat for coming to Salem to pose as his late wife, Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller), as per the demands of the evil Clyde Weston (James Read).
Clyde wanted to get his hands on the DiMera fortune and was going to kill Cat’s mother if she didn’t cooperate.
Since Clyde’s reign of terror is over, Chad and Cat have developed a meaningful bond. We speculate that, based on the way Days films, Northrop could be the next Chad DiMera.
It has yet to be announced which character Northrop will play, but rumors are buzzing that it may be Chad.
Hank and Billy are also close to each other in age. The timeline suggests Hank will pick up where Billy left off.
It will be interesting to see the son of the late Wayne Northrop on Days of Our Lives. There are still actors on the soap who worked with the late actor back in the day.
Northrop appears to have also started filming as Flynn completed his run on Days. Fans have seen pictures of Northrop. They have notably compared his handsome appearance to the stunning good looks of Billy Flynn.
It’s easy to imagine Northrop stepping into Flynn’s shoes as the steady and kindhearted Chad DiMera. We’ll be eagerly watching to find out whether our speculation is correct.
