90 Day Fiancé star Leida Margaretha has just taken back her domestic violence accusations against her husband Eric Rosenbrook. Leida from Indonesia appeared on the show after meeting Eric online. Eric promised Leida a good life in America, but Leida would be disappointed upon arrival. She disliked Eric’s home and how he lived with his young adult daughter. Leida caught some controversy over how she forced Eric to kick his daughter out of the house!
However, Leida’s controversies would become far worse. Records came out that revealed Leida’s long criminal history. She was charged for wiring money illegally. She also allegedly killed someone in a car wreck that she posted about. Now more recently, Leida has been trying to defend herself from domestic violence and animal abuse charges. Despite her frantic posting, Leida now attempts to take all of her words back.
Leida’s Cryptic Story
90 Day Fiancé blogger 90dayfiance_alexa posted screenshots from Reddit users commenting about Leida’s recent story. “As if we didn’t already know she was crying wolf.” The user that was screenshotted gave a short summary of Leida’s post. “…She says she’s embarrassed for airing her husband’s “dirty laundry” and is “trying not to do that again”” Leida states that she’s embarrassed due to “flip flopping” on what she says and how it’s not benefitting her. “As if she wasn’t horrible enough, she screams out to the internet that her husband is abusing her when real people are suffering…”
A lot of fans are confused and angry at Leida’s message. “I guess they must’ve reconciled for whatever reason. Either way she’s an animal abuser and they’re both trash,” says @kieran.whitmore. To many fans, Leida looks as though she was using her domestic abuse accusations to drive attention away from her animal abuse charges. Said charges were revealed in a document as well as a police record stating what she did to her husky puppy she features in posts.
What Leida’s Message Means
Ever since posting her story, Leida has been nonchalant about her situation. She hasn’t mentioned any other allegations or anything about Eric since. Instead, she’s been posting selfies of herself while having her comments turned off. It’s clear that Leida is afraid of criticism and doesn’t want any more attention. However, that is exactly what her criminal actions have brought her.
Fans aren’t fooled at all by what Leida is trying to do. She’s been actively trying to deflect blame that her criminal charges have labeled her. Whether that is through a list of excuses or by making herself the victim in said crimes against Eric. It’s also suspicious that she takes back her accusations only after the police reports of her crimes were revealed.
Something to consider though is that Leida may not be lying about her accusations against Eric. Leida has posted herself with bruising and wounds in the past before she was charged. It’s more likely that the couple is abusive towards each other instead of it being all one-sided. However, it’s debatable whether Eric fought Leida in self-defense. The whole story is muddy, but the odds don’t look good for Leida.
