Niles met Matilda from Ghana online through Facebook Messenger and dated long-distance for two years. The plan was for the couple to marry the second they saw each other in person. Despite the rushed implications of the marriage and some financial conflicts, the couple got along well. Out of all the couples this season, they seem to be the most genuine.
Niles promised to bring Matilda to America soon, but things haven’t gone to plan. During the Tell All, Niles explains that the finances needed for Matilda’s visa process are steep. He lost his job at the beginning of the season. While he has managed to find a new one, the visa process has been grueling. Rumors sparked by Tigerlily Taylor and Adnan Abdelfattah that they offered to pay for Matilda’s trip, but tensions are high between the two couples. Now, Niles has opened a GoFundMe for fans to help in his predicament.

On February 5th, 2025, Niles posted on his Instagram announcing his GoFundMe page. “We have set up a GoFundMe account. Special thanks to the people who sent messages requesting to support us, so I wake up seeing Matilda every day.” In the caption, Niles placed the link to the funding page and also on his profile bio. As of writing, fans have already managed to raise 30% of his $8,000 goal.
Some fans were confused at first about what the money was for. The money is not simply for a plane ticket from Ghana to America. According to the GoFundMe page’s details, the funds are going straight into funding the expensive visa and immigration processes. “The cost of visa processing, medical exams, travel expenses, legal fees, and her plane ticket to the U.S. all add up to more than we can currently afford on our own.”
What Niles’ GoFundMe Plan Means for Him & Matilda’s Future
Niles and Matilda are a beloved couple in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Many fans grew supportive of the couple’s future. They saw how much they genuinely cared about each other despite their circumstances. At first, there were some claims of Matilda being in a relationship to scam Niles, but that has mostly dissipated.
The visa process is also notorious for being very expensive for couples. This has caused many past 90 Day pairs to have long-distance marriages due to the financial strain and long waiting process. The journey is very difficult, so it makes sense for Niles to ask for some help from the fanbase he and Matilda acquired.
