‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers are jonesing for the show to get started, and their first teaser trailer has us hyped!
There’s a lot to unpack as the show is a brand new addition to CBS’ daytime lineup following ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’.
The first episode is set to air on Monday, February 24 at 2 PM.
The hour long show is set to hit the ground running as we step into the upscale gated Washington D.C. community Fairmont Crest.
The teaser looks like it’s going to be for the first season, so we’re focusing on a couple of storylines.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: A favor owed?
There’s nothing better than good drama, and that’s going to be underlined by family values and defending one’s family.
Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davies) is a former Senator and he’ll be confronted by Bill Hamilton (Tomon Lyle Durrett).
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers love how it looks like Bill will demand some help or favor for something he did. And it doesn’t look like he’s giving Vernon a choice.
With Vernon being the head of the family, this will set the stage for a clash that should be entertaining.
The show has a wide diversity of characters, with Vernon being humble and kind and Bill an opportunistic publicity hound and narcissistic defense attorney as an example.
It’s hard to come up with two more opposite character types, and it’s going to be fun to see how this plays out.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Dani’s had enough
One reason for Bill’s visit to Vernon may be about Vernon’s daughter Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).
In the preview, Dani says she married ‘an inconvenient man’ meaning Bill. And she’s paying the price for doing so.
She’ll vent to her mother, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), and we expect Anita will urge her to take some revenge and reestablish her authority and power.
Bill had an affair with Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings), a paralegal who works for him and is now his fiancé, and Dani’s not going to take it sitting down.
It looks like she’s going take out her frustration of losing her husband by slapping the stuffing out of Hayley.
Of course, Dani won’t stop there.
Dani will storm into Bill’s office while he’s meeting with clients. She’ll clear off his desk with a golf club and point it at him while he holds his hands up.
Nothing like starting things off with a bang and we can’t help but see how all the pieces come together.
