‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers are excited to see what’s coming to us on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM on CBS.
It’ll join two daytime powerhouses ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. It’ll give the show plenty of opportunity to create stories, and we’re hopeful to see some fun ones.
Taking place in a gated community in Maryland outside Washington D.C., there’s plenty of possibilities to come.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Beyond The Gates Has So Much Potential for More than Family and Business Drama
It’ll center around the Dupree family with Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) as the patriarch. He’s a former senator and is humble and shares his lifetime of wisdom.
This looks like a huge break from the corporate based families in CBS’ other shows, and we expect we’ll get some political intrigue as well as police drama on top of the Dupree family’s life.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Fresh ideas
With the cast in place, the stage is set for a fun change of pace for daytime television.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers thinks it’ll be more along the lines of ‘General Hospital’ from ABC, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ from Peacock.
By that we mean it’ll touch on a little of everything instead of family businesses.
It seems reasonable to us given some of the cast, such as Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) being a robbery and homicide detective with D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department.
Bradly Smith (Mike Manning) as a former political reporter and current stay at home father and husband to a Congressman.
Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) as a nurse at Garland Memorial Hospital, and Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) as a firefighter and so many more.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Avoiding the norm while offering crossover appeal
We really hope “Beyond The Gates’ avoids the storytelling style of ‘Y&R’ and ‘B&B’ as they can be extremely monotonous and repetitive.
This will give it a fresh air many are expecting while also opening the doors for possible crossovers from the other shows. Though we think that will be limited.
The show is run by a different production company than ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ so it could be difficult.
But we don’t think that will be necessary as it looks like it’ll be ready to stand on its own two feet.
There’s so much potential and promise and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. It’ll be really fun being there from the beginning.
It’s not something many get to experience anymore given the long life of many soaps, and it’ll be a fun ride.
