‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) were a tremendously popular couple on Days.
’Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi Thinks Stefan Signed The Divorce Papers
There hasn’t ever been a doubt in the viewers’ minds that “Stabi” was endgame. That’s why Stefan’s exit story felt rushed and incomplete. Stabi and the fans deserved better than what transpired during the October 28th episode of the soap. Stefan was captured and taken to Alamainia.
Stefan’s meddling mother, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), was determined to prevent him and Gabi from reconciling, so she forged the signature on their divorce papers and had her manservant, Ivan Mareis (Ivan G’Vera), kidnap her son.
Gabi believes Stefan wanted to part ways and that he left town willingly. However, fans know he was prepared to battle tooth and nail for their marriage. Vivian forbade him from winning back his true love.
It’s safe to assume she’s either holding him captive or brainwashing him somewhere far away from Gabi. Gabi needs closure on her relationship with Stefan. There are a few ways that Days could have her receive it.
One way the soap could tell this story is if Stefan is being restrained in a confined area. He convinces whoever Vivian has hired to keep an eye on him to write a letter to Gabi on his behalf.
The watchdog may agree to help him as long as he doesn’t share his location. The letter could say how much he loved her and that leaving her was the hardest decision he had ever made.

Stefan could also explain to her how sorry he was for his one-night stand with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). He could even be clever enough to throw a wrench into Vivian’s plan for Gabi to think that her night with his brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), caused him to end their marriage and leave Salem.
While Stefan initially couldn’t get past Gabi and EJ sleeping together, he eventually realized his relationship with Gabi was worth the hard work it would take to repair the damage.
He could hint at this by admitting that he knows the only reason Gabi had sex with EJ was to get revenge on him for sleeping with Ava.
A more heartbreaking way to provide closure for Stabi is if Stefan is presumed dead. If Stefan is no longer alive, or even if Gabi thinks he’s dead, she would be devastated. However, she’d eventually move on, as reconciliation would no longer be possible.
Another more obvious tactic Days could take is to rehire Brandon Barash. A new writing team is at Days now, and they may want to undo the mistake the prior regime made by letting him go.
Of course, they would need to sweeten the deal. Barash admitted that the soap had done this to him before. His exit shocked viewers who rooted for Stefan and Gabi to find their way back to each other. His presence on the soap would obviously lead to their reunion. Barash’s return would be the best outcome for “Stabi” fans.
