‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers confirm that Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) are returning to Salem on November 8th for John Black (Drake Hogetyn) and Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) wedding anniversary.

Coincidentally, November 8th will also mark the 59th anniversary of Days. While it will be wonderful to see these familiar faces, Drake Hogestyn’s absence will need to be explained.

The show paid tribute to the late Hogetyn at the end of its October 29th episode. The show concluded with a picture of Hogestyn, who passed away on September 28th.

Since the celebration involves John and Marlena, the soap obviously needs to address his not being there. Days has already conjured up several ways to keep John off-screen.

Recently, Marlena claimed that John took a trip with his father, Timothy Robicheaux (Dick Van Dyke), to his childhood farm, where he was enjoying a trip down memory lane.

Drake Hogeystyn’s official final episode aired on September 9th. The actor had already taken time off the show to address his health struggles.

John won’t be a part of the family gathering, and viewers are wondering how the show will handle Hogestyn’s tragic death.

Perhaps Marlena will explain to her kids that John is spending time with his grandkids after the get-together. He could also indulge in a dessert at The Bistro or have quality time with his father at the facility. Working around John’s absence may be as simple as that.

‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Belle Will Get Tied Up With A Salem Bad Boy

Days spoilers indicate that Belle will get tied up with a man who’s no good for her. Speculation is that the bad boy in question may be either Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) or EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). However, Phillip is supposedly blissfully happy with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) in New York City.

It would be fun for Chloe to at least pay a visit to Salem since her mom, Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo), sister, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins), and Phillip are all there.

Belle and EJ were never a good pair, and hopefully, Days avoids putting them together in any capacity. It’s not like Hurricane Sami Brady (Allison Sweeny) is in town to have a nuclear meltdown over it anyway.

What we know about the anniversary episode is that Marlena will no doubt tell tales of her love story to John. There will also likely be some romantic flashbacks of John and Marlena.

    John Anniston played Victor Kiriakis

The soap will probably approach John’s death similarly to how they handled Victor Kiriakis’ death. He was played by veteran actor John Aniston, who passed away in November 2022. Belle and Paul will celebrate the couple’s love story with Marlena.

The flashbacks and Marlena’s stories will serve as a tribute to Hogestyn until the show can get everything planned for John’s funeral.

The upcoming funeral will be for Doug Williams, played by another veteran actor, Bill Hayes, who passed away in January.

We still don’t know precisely when Days is planning John’s funeral, but we’re sure they’ll bring back all the characters affected by John’s life.
