‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out in style.
It looks like the name of the game for Friday, August 16’s episode is: it’s complicated.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) sets Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) off.
And all she’ll ask is if she’s jealous of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) moving on with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Good job, Phyllis. Push your daughter over the edge.
Speaking of Kyle and Audra, they’re going to continue having friction during a meeting with Victor Newman (Eric Braden).
Victor won’t like to see it, but he’ll know where to put the blame. Squarely on Kyle.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Friday, August 16: Falling apart
As big of a spoiled brat, pain in the backside Kyle is, Summer isn’t much better. She’s been channeling more and more of Phyllis, despite Phyllis trying to talk her down regularly.
While catching her mom up, Summer will talk about how after everything Kyle’s offered joint custody like they share. The problem is she trusts him less now than ever.
Phyllis will talk her through what she should do and try to help her, but then she’s going to make a mistake. She’s going to question Summer.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers don’t think Phyllis will mean it as an outright question. It’s just how Summer will take it.
She hates the idea of being jealous Kyle possibly moving on with Audra. But we think she hates the fact she is jealous and Phyllis called her out even more.
If there’s a ledge for Summer to trip over, she’s getting dangerously close to it.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Friday, August 16: Work it out or else!
Audra will return from her trip to Paris and look to update Victor at his behest.
Kyle will arrive and accuse her of triggering Summer and she’ll point out she hardly knows her and has bene in Paris.
It’ll continue as he’ll complain about her promotional ideas making them look foolish and childish. He’ll want a sophisticated approach to combat Jabot.
This is where Victor will step in and order them to figure out how to work together or else. After Audra leaves, he’ll ask Kyle not to make him regret hiring him.
They’ll cover his ongoing custody battle with Summer, and we doubt Kyle will back down. Though he probably still thinks he can outsmart Victor and probably has a contingency plan.
