Kate Middleton appeared at Trooping the Color, which took place this year on June 15th as the royal family celebrated King Charles’s official birthday.
Standing On The Balcony, Kate Middleton With William And Her Children
Kate Middleton made a triumphant comeback as she stood on the balcony with her husband, Prince William, on one side and King Charles on the other. Her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis enjoyed the event in front of the adults.
Prince Louis’s antics set the tone for a normal family gathering on the balcony. The young gentleman yawned, wriggled and danced while standing in front of his mother, who enjoyed his capers.
The Princess of Wales appeared content and relaxed during her first public appearance in six months since she announced her cancer diagnosis on March 22nd. The joy of the King to have Kate beside him overshadowed his health issues, being diagnosed with cancer in February.
The band played “Over the Rainbow” as Kate stepped out with her family. Her body language showed that she was stoic and humble, allowing the event to focus on the King, not her illness.
Princess Catherine embodies all royal qualities, as she appears stable, stoic, and without the slightest hint of self-pity or drama.
Kate’s outfit was understated enough not to upstage the King but was very elegant, as always. She wore white heels, a white dress with black trim, and a black and white bow at the collar. She wore a lovely white hat and accessorized with a subtle pair of pearl earrings. The dress was designed by Jenny Peckham.
Kate pinned The Irish Guards Regimental Brooch to her dress to proudly display her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards. Kate rode in a car with William and her children toward Buckingham Palace.
Charles Traveled by Carriage This Year
The pomp and circumstance of the occasion were evident by the parade as King Charles traveled down the mall from Buckingham Palace by carriage with Camilla.
Charles’s mode of transportation was a departure from last year when he rode on horseback. Doctors advised the King to travel by carriage this year due to his illness.
His Majesty then rode back to the Palace and watched the parade from the balcony with the royal family working members.
The planes flew overhead as the royals watched in amazement. The other family members on the balcony included Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Prince Edward, as the family smiled and waved from below while the national anthem played.
The Colonel of the Welsh Guards was on horseback. Kate stood beside her children as the regiments were participating in the parade.
The royal procession moved back to Buckingham Palace as heavy rain started to fall. The weather cleared up for the Red Arrows team to fly past. Then, the traditional 41-gun salute was ceremoniously fired out into Green Park.
King Charles History With Trooping of The Color
King Charles first attended Trooping the Colors at age three when it celebrated his grandfather, King George VI’s birthday. During his first Trooping the Color, he rode in a horse-drawn carriage with Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and his aunt, Princess Margaret.
Everyone commended Kate Middleton for bravely making her appearance at the event. It shows how hard-working she is.
Kate knew that even though it was the King’s birthday, all eyes would be on her. The Princess of Wales said that the kind messages she’s received have helped her and William through some hard times.
