Kate Middleton is set to make a high-profile appearance at Trooping the Color on Saturday, June 15th. She will take her place on the balcony beside Prince William.
The Princess of Wales is ready to make her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis. Kate decided to come for her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Kate’s presence at the event ensures that the Wales children will not have to travel in the carriage procession without their parents.
Kate Shared A Personal Letter To Her Fans On Social Media
Kate also shares a personal letter to her fans to update them on her progress.
“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made a world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times. I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak, tired, and you have to give into your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,”
She explained.
“On the days when I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home. I’m looking forward to attending the King’s birthday parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing, I’m not out of the woods yet. I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding and to all of you who have bravely shared your stories with me.”
Kate Middleton Has A History With The Irish Guards
Last year, the royals celebrated King Charles’s first birthday parade, marking a new era. There were around 70 aircraft from the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, and British Army. Over 1,500 soldiers, 400 musicians, and 300 horses participated in the ceremony. The Welsh Guards trooped the color.
Royal fans thought the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children paid homage to the Wales flag. Their outfits were carefully coordinated to reflect this. Kate looked stunning in green. Prince William and the children wore a combination of red and blue.
Kate Middleton has a fascinating history with the regiment will show their flag this year, the Irish Guards. Unfortunately, this year, Kate missed the St. Patrick’s Day parade in honor of the Irish Guards. At the end of the festivities, the soldiers still honored Kate with a rousing three cheers.
Princess Catherine has largely remained out of public view since she shared her video on March 22nd of this year when she announced her cancer diagnosis.
It will be lovely for royal fans to see her at the event, as she is the Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards. King Charles is delighted that she will be in attendance.
