Meghan Markle is desperate to salvage her tainted public image and remain relevant in literally any area she thinks she can.
Meghan’s Lifestyle Brand Is A Dud
Her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, shows no sign of promise, and the momentum behind it has stalled significantly since she first announced the launch at the same time Prince William gave a speech at an awards ceremony in honor of Prince Harry and William’s mother, Diana, this past March.
Meghan’s Lemonada podcast deal has barely been mentioned since she first inked the contract in February. The Sussexes jaunt to Nigeria had the appearance of a “royal” visit without the benefit of actually being royal.
Harry and Meghan’s association with Netflix appears to be lagging, as all the “exciting projects” Meghan said she and her husband were preparing have yet to come to fruition. And her shiny new PR team hasn’t developed any fresh plans.
Americans have a much less favorable opinion of her than William, Kate Middelton, and Harry. The Duchess of Sussex keeps aiming for the stars, only to come up short.
Meghan has long had her eye on the prize. She has long wanted to win the public’s approval and be a superstar. That’s why she keeps shipping project after project that looks like they generate a lot of heat when the reality is there isn’t much steam.
Before marrying into the royal family, her one major accomplishment was her stint on the snoozy legal drama, “Suits,” where she had a minor role as Rachel Zane, a character that doesn’t have much going on besides a pretty face.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Should Have Remained In the UK
Oh, and Meghan also had her popular blog, “The Tig,” named after a bold red wine called Tignanello. She discussed resurrecting it a few months ago, but nothing came of that.
With a back story that is not unlike that of the former King Edward’s wife, Wallis Simpson. Meghan Markle coerced Harry to leave his life as a working royal behind. Her true claim to fame has always been and always will be becoming a Windsor.
The truth is that the Duchess of Sussex thinks she doesn’t need to accomplish anything more because she’s Meghan Markle. Even though she’s had a slew of projects with little to no payoff, she’s essentially stopped trying.
Nothing she’s done in the past four years has amounted to much. If the couple had stayed in the UK, they would have made a difference.
There were such high hopes for Meghan at the beginning of her marriage to Harry. The royal family had a strong, biracial female member capable of exacting positive change in the monarchy. But instead, Harry and Meghan took the easy way out. And for what?
Meghan’s attempts to correct her poor image are nothing more than an attempt to remain relevant. She thinks that as long as she keeps making it look like she’s really doing something important, that’s all that matters.
Instead of being a superstar, she’s just looking for quick publicity and a fast buck. If they had stayed in Britain, Meghan would have had the public image she’d always wanted.
