‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers love it when things go sideways in a storyline, and even better when it fleshes out characters’ pasts.
We take what the writers give us with a grain of salt since they love to tweak and change things from one episode to another, so we can imagine what they miss or change from decades ago.
Even with that in mind, filling in more of John Black (Drake Hogestyn)’s past and giving Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) a chance to not be the real bad guy he came across initially.
It’s a cool dynamic and it gives us a chance to watch John come to terms with something he did years ago even if he wasn’t in control of himself then.
It’s a moving story and there are other layers to go, including Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) learning the truth.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – It should be Marlena
Given the turmoil John’s going through and his desire to not have Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) around him at the moment leaves the need to know line in a quandary.
This all started when Steve and John tried to strongarm Konstantin into leaving Salem to protect Maggie, and now that it’s backfired there’s a whole lot of damage control and truth telling that needs to be done.
Since Steve has free time, he could opt to do it, but that won’t go over well after his previous denouncements of Konstantin.
If anything, Konstantin could come clean with Maggie first in a show of good will, and while she’ll be upset he lied about his past with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), we can see her forgiving him to a point.
It’ll disarm Steve and leave him trying to brutalize Konstantin in front of her and help Konstantin win her over again.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – A convoluted history
With all of that in mind, ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers think Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall) should be the one to tell Maggie about Konstantin’s past and lies.
She’ll be the gentlest and will be able to explain things without causing a confrontation. And given how Konstantin, Victor, and John’s pasts are so intertwined and convoluted, she’s the best equipped to share everything she knows.
Unfortunately, John is going to be occupying a lot of her time as counselor and referee and with him wanting to turn himself in and Steve wanting to stop him.
We have a feeling things are going to progress between Maggie and Konstantin so that when she does learn about his past she’ll hope to help him change like she did Victor.
Who knows, maybe he’ll grow to love her like Victor did.
