‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been waiting for this moment since the news that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was coming back, and it looks like Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is going to show himself the door.
To be fair, it’s curious that is seems he’s going to be so dead set on Jason being guilty that it’ll start a fight with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) since he and Jason seemed to be on good terms the last time they were together.
But then a lot has changed and Drew has actively tossed his daughter aside for Carly, even wanting to sacrifice her financial future to bail Carly out without a word to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Now, he’s going to take offense at being Carly’s second choice as he gets a glimpse into what he put his daughter through, even if she doesn’t know or realize it.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Everyone knew this was coming
As soon as the announcement was made that Jason was coming back, everyone from the fans to the highest executive at ABC had to know Carly would drop Drew in a heartbeat for Jason.
Anything less would cause a fan backlash they haven’t seen in a long time is ever.
Drew may have become Carly’s lapdog, but he’s still smart and has some pride, so he’s going to draw a line in the sand and fight for Carly.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers expect him to demand she choose him because he paid his debt to society for her while Jason has been gone for two year.
Carly won’t buy into that and will continue to argue that Jason’s innocent, and that won’t go anywhere.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Circling the drain
The lone good part out of this is Drew may finally get the wake up call he needs to get some help to get his head on straight again.
Of course, to do that he’s going to have to hit rock bottom, and that could be an ugly fall by the time it’s all said and done.
There is a good chance we’ll see some fun sibling rivalry between Drew and Jason for Carly’s affection.
Sure, Jason will win hands down, but that doesn’t mean Drew will have to give up.
If he’s smart, he’ll stand by Carly to win her favor and at least make her question whether she should drop him or not.
