‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) is said to be dead. However, it could be a setup. We all know someone has been targeting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his organization.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Olivia Was Presumed Dead in 1990
Perhaps Olivia set things up to make it look like she’s dead, but it’s a doppelganger. In 1990, Dino Antonelli (Chris DeRose) shot Olivia, and she was then presumed dead. He shot her to gain control of the Jerome empire. If she’s not dead, we wouldn’t be surprised.
Olivia was behind the car bomb that killed Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), and the Corinthos clan never forgot that. Olivia had thought she was actually killing her brother, Julian Jerome (William DeVry.)
For some time, Sonny believed that he was responsible for Morgan’s death because he also had a hit on Julian at the same time. Then, they found out it was Olivia.
Sonny intervened when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) almost killed her, and he had Olivia arrested and put in Pentonville so that she could pay for the death of his son.
Sonny threatened to kill Olivia a couple of times. They have a history, and maybe Olivia is striking back.
The person who supposedly “killed” Olivia is gunning for Sonny and is behind Austin Gatlin-Holt‘s (Roger Howarth) murder. Olivia was a mob boss and must have had connections to keep her safe while in prison.
It’s not entirely believable that a legacy character would suddenly turn up dead without the character actually on the show for their demise. The idea that Olivia was killed in prison off-screen seems strange.

It’s also strange that Ava Jerome (Maura West) wasn’t notified. The police did not ask her to identify the body.
It would be more interesting if they brought Olivia back and had her try to take Sonny’s territory as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned to the show. That’s one mob fight not to be missed.
It was rumored in 2022 that Walker might reprise the role of Olivia and wreak havoc on Sonny and the residents of Port Charles. We are not buying that Olivia was killed.
We’re not the only ones who think that this is bogus. Fans took to social media after the shocking news of Olivia’s demise this past week, exclaiming it wasn’t true.
One person said,
“No, I don’t believe it for a second. I didn’t believe it in 1990, and I don’t believe it now.”
Tonja Walker responded,
“Well, thanks, Robert! If you see me, it’s AI! So let me know! I love you all for being my fans! I wish I knew!”
Another fan chimed in,
“I won’t believe it until I see a body.”
Walker said,
“Well, if you see the body, let me know. They’d owe a check. Even if it’s AI! If it is true, it’s kind of sad!”
Sad indeed. It would be interesting to see some interaction between Olivia and her sister, Ava. Although Ava has softened in recent years, she still knows the tough stuff she’s made of. Hopefully, the show corrects this error in judgment and allows Walker to play the story.
