During the newest episode of 90 Day Diaries, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh shared more of their life together in India. The couple has been together for over 12 years and they have been married for almost two years.
The one thing that fans noticed watching their story was that Sumit’s mother never accepted Jenny because of her age.
Sumit and Jenny married against his parents’ wishes. His father was the only one who gave them a blessing, but Jenny wanted to get his mother’s blessing as well. During the episode of 90 Day Diaries, they were both invited to have tea with his parents.

90 Day Diaries Spoilers: Was Sumit Disowned?
The last time that Jenny saw Sumit‘s mother was when they revealed that they had gotten married. Sumit’s mother told him that she would disown him if he ever married Jenny. When she found out that he did, she flipped out on the two of them. It was never his intention to hurt his mother, but he wanted to be happy with Jenny.
Of course, fans of the show never felt as if Sumit’s mother really disowned him, but according to the two of them, they are trying to get things back to normal with his family.
In all of the photos of Jenny, Sumit, and his family, his mother looks miserable and it doesn’t seem as if she has given her blessing even though the couple said she has.
90 Day Diaries Spoilers: The Big News
Sumit and Jenny were very happy to share on 90 Day Diaries that things were beginning to look up for them and his parents. They invited the for tea and Jenny just wants his mother to accept her and their marriage.
Jenny recently shared a photo of them all together on Instagram and captioned it, “And finally the day has come.”
Jenny’s fans were quick to share how happy they were for her and Sumit. One wrote, “Finally, Jenny! I’m so happy for you! I don’t think your mother-in-law’s heart is completely in it. But at least she has accepted the fact that you are married to her son.”
The new season of 90 Day Diaries is now in full swing and you can find it on TLC on Monday nights. It airs at 9 p.m. EST and is streaming on multiple platforms.
