Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could not deny her feelings for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). For his part, Adam was patient. He felt a new part of life began after their child, Ava Hope, was miscarried.

‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – After The Ball Drops In New York

The calendar turning to the next year is a symbolic change in the lives of all who follow the calendar introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 A.D. All who live in Genoa City, Wisconsin, follow the Gregorian calendar, which replaced the Julian calendar that was in effect since 46 B.C.

Both of Ava’s parents entered the new year with great hope. With their connection renewed, a chance to establish a new relationship exists.

They participated in a mock New Year’s Eve ceremony hours after the ball dropped on the East Coast in New York. An hour behind in the Midwest, Sally and Adam recalled their all-holiday celebration during their first go-round as a couple. But the order of the new day was to take it slow.

Grossman’s character has not been able to mature. He has been unable to recognize that his last name is the same as the others in the top jobs.

However, losing the daughter he and Sally were expecting softened Adam’s outlook. That was reinforced by his genuine concern for everyone affected by Jordan Howard’s (Colleen Zenk) actions. Plus, Adam did not push the point after learning what happened to his family.
