‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that falling in love can be easy. But having competition for that person can also make a soapy life hard.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) spoke about the different versions of life she has lived in Genoa City, Wisconsin. She was single, Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) first love and his ex because of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and other factors.
Devoted fans know Sharon’s backstory includes many other relationships, including being married to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) twice in 2012. Yes, the Moustache.
But through all of the above and a lot more, including tragically losing Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) and defeating cancer, Sharon survived.

People from various eras of life in GC know that some people need to think of themselves as more than one person. It is a way to convince yourself that you are not you.
But in reality, including this daytime edition, everyone is only themselves. So, there has only ever been one version of Sharon, and she is, quite simply, fabulous.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Needs Stability
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) was badly hurt by Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway). In that storyline, he was not the cliched bad guy cheating on his wife. Instead, she was the bad lady who cheated on her hero husband.
While Ordway and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton Winters) are great actors, hardcore fans wonder if the writing staff pushed too hard and fast. The invented scenario, where Abby fell out of love with Chance and into it with Devon, was a bit rushed.
However, soap fans accept implausible decisions and give slack to the grind that daytime represents. Sometimes, change happens for the sake of change, so Chance was left alone, and his friend, Sharon, became more than that in recent months.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – The One And Only Summer Newman
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) used to have Abbott at the end of her name. That was until the foolhardy Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) decided Summer wronged him and abandoned their marriage.
Please look at the section above this one, where the reference to change was noted. That is why Lanier and Mealor are no longer scene partners. Kyle was with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and maybe again, leaving Summer single and infatuated with Chance.
It does seem like Chance and Summer might be the more intriguing couple. But where would that leave Sharon?
Here’s hoping for a resolution so that Case’s legacy character receives her just due in a long-form story. Be that with Chance or whoever, let’s have Sharon find and keep love with a loyal guy soon on Y&R.
