Meghan Markle is one of those people who has inspired such deep and carnivorous hate in her many critics and detractors.
The Media Goes After Meghan for a Reason
The media goes after her like she’s a bite of delectable prey. They are not shy about calling her a privileged narcissist. The press says that she played the racist card to make herself look like a victim. She wanted to settle a score with the royal family.
For someone who has provoked such profoundly negative emotions in others, we must look at why she has garnered such an unfavorable response from the public in the first place.
Meghan earned the hatred felt for her in every imaginable way. When she was in the royal family, she was seemingly taken aback by royal protocol and pushed to influence a centuries-old institution by trying to challenge the palace hierarchy that had been in place since the 1600s.
The Duchess couldn’t understand why Kate Middleton, married to the future King of England, would be higher up in succession than she was.
Meghan felt she had more of a right to be heard than Kate, and she would mow her down in public, dominating the conversation.
She is also guilty of professional victimhood, as she cried royal racism when they wanted to know what her baby, Archie, would look like.
Meghan said this when Oprah interviewed Harry and Meghan in March 2021. She was hoping to turn everyone against the royal family. Meghan tried to play it off as if she was the victim of a crime.
Meghan Markle is Seen as a Narcissist
The UK is an entirely different culture, and the British do not take kindly to sob stories. The simple truth is that the UK embraced her at first until her true colors were revealed.
People couldn’t possibly dislike Meghan Markle for any other reason besides race, right? Her views of superiority were obvious when she could not remain loyal to serving the Queen and settling into her new role as the Duchess. She had to be the instigator.
Meghan also dared to compare herself to Princess Diana. She inferred that she went through the same suffering that Diana did. The British tabloids were all “after her.” She and Harry were alleged “viciously chased” by the paparazzi like Diana was.
There’s no better way (in Meghan’s mind) to get people to sympathize with her than to compare herself to a treasured icon.
Meghan is seen as a narcissist because of the way she presents herself. She over-exaggerates her achievements and makes them out to somehow be as valiant as saving the world.
There is no greater example of this than the speech she gave at the One Young World organization in September 2022, when Harry and Meghan were in the UK after Queen Elizabeth died.
During that speech, she referenced herself exactly 54 times. She then mentioned gender equality exactly once, which was supposedly the entire point of her self-absorbed speech.
The rest of it seemed like she was putting on an act. Meghan is an actress. She is good at producing disingenuous emotion and fake humility.
Most people can spot an imitation from a mile away. With Meghan, what you see is what you get.
