‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers love it when we get to see new faces come to Salem, and after reports of AnnaLynne McCord signing a one year contract with the show we can’t wait to see her in action.
From the way things sound, she’ll appear maybe halfway through 2024 since the show is already shooting six months ahead for around April and May, but that also leaves us wondering what her character arriving will mean for one of our favorites.
AnnaLynne’s character Marin, according to Deadline, has been described as “fascinating and complicated woman who is devastatingly beautiful, almost angelic in her outward appearance. The desire of many but her heart belongs to only one man who continues to push her away for her own good.”
This sounds like a great femme fatale type of role, and it’s gotten us wondering is she’s going to be filling the hole left by Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) after her storyline is over.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Making room?
Sloan came into Salem as an “ambulance chaser” looking for justice on Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), and since she’s grown into a fun character and has been a good counter balance for Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
‘Days of Our Lives’ have loved her growth, but the current storyline of her being part of taking Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker)’s baby looks like it’s going to be the end of her character.
The only way for her to survive this is if Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) takes full responsibility and throws herself on her sword to protect Sloan. This doesn’t mean Sloan won’t come clean with Eric, but it’d be a way to save her character.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – One or both?
While it seems likely that Sloan could be leaving the show, we’d love to see her stay and possibly salvage her relationship with Eric or get a fresh start of sorts.
And when Marin comes to Salem, they could have a history as friends or former classmates from law school and it’d create so many other possible storylines, including them working together.
We’re looking forward to seeing what role Marin will play and if Sloan will be part of it of leave so she has an opening to get a foothold in Salem to do her thing.
