Ashley took Manuel to a couples therapy session because she wanted to find out what was going on with him. She feels that he has so many secrets that he has been hiding from her all along. At the end of their therapy session, it came out that he had to send money to his family. Of course, this made Ashely wonder what else Manuel had been hiding from her.
When the money issue came up, Ashley had to ask him what he was thinking. She told him, “You can’t work so I am being required to do it. So when were you going to have a conversation with me about what it is you were promising others in my name?” He told her that this money “had” to go out to his family by the end of the money. This did not sit well with Ashley at all.

Back in Ecuador, Manuel has family and two children. He works in construction to make money there and Ashley admitted that he does travel a lot in the country trying to find work and make ends meet. He is sure that he can start working in the States in this field immediately, but as of right now, Ashley is his sponsor, and has to pay for everything until he gets his work permit.
The tension between Ashley and Manuel is heavy. Ashley has been standing her ground when it comes to how things should work in their relationship, but we will just have to wait and see what happens next.
