‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers uncover that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is being sued for malpractice. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) bring Finn into Dr. Randolph’s office and explain this to him.
Dr. Randolph is no-nonsense about this, being very professional as she relays the information. Finn will still be able to practice, but there will be limitations. He will also need to submit to regular drug testing, which Finn says will be the easiest part for him.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Finn Shares The Bad News With Liz
Finn immediately comes out of the office, and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) can tell that Finn is distraught. Finn tells her that it is “every doctor’s worst nightmare” and that he is being sued for malpractice.
He recounts the story to her. A man came into the hospital sick with what Finn suspected was tapeworm after traveling to another country. Finn did some testing, and everything seemed normal, so he treated the tapeworm.
The patient became very sick, and Finn wanted more testing. However, the non-compliant patient avoided testing until it was too late. When he finally had the tests, he was diagnosed with cancer, and it was too late for treatment to help him. The man died, and so his family is now suing Finn and the hospital.
Finn feels concerned for his career’s future and his reputation as a doctor. Liz promised she would be there for him, support him, and help him clear his name.
This situation, of course, couldn’t come at a worse time, considering Finn’s father, Gregory Harrison’s (Gregory Harrison) ALS, is progressing. Finn wanted to focus on helping his father with treatment, and now this is happening.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Focus Should Have Been On Gregory And Finn
While the storyline has the potential to be captivating, the show should have remained focused on Finn’s relationship with his dying father.
That being said, the widow of Finn’s patient is out for blood. She wants revenge on Finn, whom she believes killed her husband. This could be a new character that will be introduced on the show, ready to take down Finn and General Hospital.
There may be twists and turns in the story, as Finn struggles to come to terms with everything happening in his life.
The purpose of this new character may be to spice things up with Finn and Elizabeth. If this is true, it’s the most inappropriate timing.
We think this widow may target Liz to get back at Finn if he wins his case in court, like an eye for an eye sort of thing. Liz’s safety could be in jeopardy, as the widow goes after Liz in true soap fashion and perhaps does something to try to kill her the way Finn “killed” her husband.
The widow may do something sinister and kidnap Liz or try to inject her with a needle full of poison. Finn will come and save the day, and Finn and Liz will realize how much they mean to each other.
In the end, it will bring the two of them closer. There is potential for much story here, but it’s typical soap. It’s not the emotional, Emmy-winning stuff fans want to see play out between Finn and his father.
