‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been expecting things to blow up between Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) after he covered up for his daughter, and in many ways it wasn’t as satisfying as it could’ve been.
We understand that Valentin wanted to protect Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), but he handled it as wrong as possible and he ended up doing what Charlotte wanted anyway.
The only plus side in this for him is now he’ll have her more relaxed so he and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) can figure out how much damage Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) did to her mind.
But that’s the end of the good news. For him.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna’s time
Anna has been going crazy dealing with all of the fear and worry about shooting Charlotte, and while that won’t go away, it’s been tempered by the fact she isn’t at as much fault as she thought she was.
Sure, she still pulled the trigger, but she knows that it wasn’t an overreaction on her part since she had reason to believe she was in mortal danger and not being pranked by a teenager.
Of course, she’s going to want to explain it to Charlotte and try to make it up to her, but that will have to be put on the back burner with Laura informing her that Charlotte’s terrified of her.
With this part of the mystery behind her, for the moment, Anna will be able to focus on the fact a gunman did take a shot at her or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dirty deeds done dirt cheap
As much as ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers love AC/DC, this dirty deed wasn’t very cheap for Valentin as he lost the woman he loves and there’s no chance of getting her back.
At least, there better not be after his stupidity.
Charlotte will be relieved while he’ll have to deal with the knowledge that he walked into Victor’s trap with his eyes wide open.
What will be even more painful for him is while his actions were expected and planned for by Victor, it can be argued that Victor wouldn’t know his exact reactions, hence putting the blame squarely on Valentin for destroying his life.
He’s one of our favorite characters and we’d love to see him figure out a way to make this work normally, but he fully deserves the misery he’s getting and going to continue getting.
