There are few things in Salem more entertaining to ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers than Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering)’s enthusiasm when he can arrest someone that’s made it personal to him in some way.
He gets a special gleam in his eyes and a hop in his step when he goes to get someone, and today’s lucky recipient was Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte).
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rafe’s Giddiness May Cost Him Jada
It’s nearly impossible to make it more personal than threatening to shoot and kill Rafe’s sister, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), and he’s got backup in Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) to make sure Dimitri makes it to the Salem police department’s lockup.
This comes on the tail of Dimitri trying to convince Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) to give up being Lady Whistleblower and joining him on the run.
Leo’s still on the fence, and while he and Dimitri will have some time to plan their escape, we doubt they’ll be able to slip past Rafe and Jada. Unless they’re down the hall chitchatting instead of paying attention like they should be.
And here’s where it’s going to get dicey.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Breaking Rafe’s heart
Rafe was so disappointed when he wasn’t able to arrest Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) after all the grief she caused him, but he was rewarded by helping to bring Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) back.
But the biggest heartbreak could be coming ff his attempt to take Dimitri to the police station goes sideways.
By al accounts and reasoning, it should be impossible for Leo and Dimitri to make their escape, but the security at the hospital is beyond a joke so they’ll probably walk right by Rafe and Jada since they’ll be engaged with each other.
This will frustrate Rafe and get him rethinking whether he and Jada should be a couple.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Time for some turmoil
“Days of Our Lives” Spoilers think things have been going too smoothly for Rafe and Jada lately, and because of that we expect the writers to throw a huge problem at them and leave them to sort through the mess.
There’s a good chance they’ll find a way to work through it, like they keep things professional at all times no matter what, but there’s also the possibility that Rafe will be forced to break things off with her.
He’ll take the full brunt of the responsibility for Dimitri escaping and given the black eye it’ll give the department he’ll feel he has no other reason than for them to break up.
Jada will understand and may even be the one to broach the topic, and this could lead to some awkward moments between them going forward.
