‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) is about to go on the loose. And while there has been a lot of speculation that Nelle might take her son Baby Wiley and catch the next train out of Port Charles, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Instead, it looks like the Corinthos family will be rocked by the truth. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘General Hospital’ co-head writer Chris Van Etten explains it like this, “Nelle has been busily putting pieces into place to spend many lives in Port Charles when she is released. What will be mysterious are the circumstances of her release and what she does when she gets out.”

What’s more, it looks like Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) – who was once Nelle’s enemy number one – will play a vital role in Nelle’s life. Could this mean that Carly will soon find out that Baby Wiley is actually her grandson? And if so, what kind of impact will this have on the rest of the Corinthos family and especially for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) who has been in the dark this entire time.
Van Etten adds, “Carly will have a major role in the next phase of this story. Nelle’s shenanigans will cause an eruption in Port Charles, and Michael and Sasha are just two of the people who will feel the fallout. Chase and Willow’s bliss will also be rudely interrupted by Nelle’s plan. With that said, we have a feeling that things are going to go from zero to 60 in a matter of seconds for our favorite Port Charles residents. Buckle up ‘General Hospital’ fans, because it’s about to get very bumpy!”
