‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) isn’t super thrilled with her second in command at Newman Media. Audra seems to be bristling at having to work under Nikki. She seems to be resenting Nikki’s interference in her life. Will she stay at Newman?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Pushing the Limits
Nikki Newman has been pushing the limits. When she took over as CEO of Newman Media, demoting Audra Charles, she found that Audra was sleeping with her granddaughter’s husband, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). She demanded that the couple quit seeing each other.
While this was rather invasive, she felt like she had a right to say something because they both were working at Newman Media. When she saw them flirting and felt like they were pushing the boundaries with each other, she told Audra to fire Kyle.
Now she has walked in on Audra talking to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) at the Athletic Club. She feels concerned about seeing the two of them together because she feels that Tucker is despicable. This suggests to her that Audra may in fact be a rotten apple.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Had Enough?
For her part, Audra seems to be rather irritated. Nikki is trying to influence her personal and private relationships. Audra tries to convince Nikki that Tucker is a genius and is just misunderstood. She explains that she has learned a lot from Tucker and considers him a mentor.
Nikki is appalled by this, believing that Audra is making terrible choices. It makes her really question Audra’s integrity and if she is a good fit for Newman.
Audra can see that working for and with Nikki may be more than she can handle. The judgment and the interference may not be with it to her anymore.
Maybe it would be better for her to be ready to jump into something with Tucker. If he succeeds at acquiring Jabot for himself as he intends, maybe she will decide to cast her lot with him.
