‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that in a quest to recapture his youth, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), has wielded his power in a manner that includes a marked disregard for his most devoted child, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Victoria had convinced herself that she could effectively manage her father, but this presumption proved to be a miscalculation.
Even Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), was taken aback by Victor’s swift reclamation of his position as the top executive at Newman Enterprises. Not that he had ever ceased to be the company’s leader, having founded it decades ago, but the coldness with which he ousted Victoria from his office was undeniable.
Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton), once applied the moniker “Ruthless” to Victor in her tell-all book. Leanna, one of Victor’s ex-wives, now fashions herself as a freelance member of the media, though the designation of “journalist” is loosely attributed to her.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Could Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) REALLY Outsmart Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)?
Leanna made a return to Genoa City during the town’s grand celebration earlier this year, and her long-standing assessment of Victor remains as accurate as ever. Her ability to maintain this perspective over the years deserves recognition.
Victoria cannot deny that Victor had granted her a considerable degree of autonomy in running the company as she saw fit. In fairness, if Victor were to be candid, he would acknowledge the validity of his eldest daughter’s response to his assessment of the company as being disjointed.
While Victoria has entered into a romantic relationship with one of her top executives, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), this relationship has not disrupted the family business.
Nevertheless, Victor vehemently held Victoria accountable for what he perceived as a period of turbulent leadership, which he punctuated with a disparaging remark. This demotion came complete with the removal of her portrait from the executive suite and a reassignment to another office.
