‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that Donny Boaz, who plays Chance Chancellor is set to appear in a new series on the Starz Channel. The series is called P-Valley and along with Boaz, it has such names as Shannon Thornton, Brandee Evans, J. Alphonse Nicholson and Nicco Annan. According to IMDB.com, the series is in post-production right now and the role that Boaz plays is that of Wyatt Wyle. It looks like he is only in one episode so far, and the series is set to debut sometime in 2020.
The series itself is the story of a cast of characters that are involved in a small-town strip-club and all the things that that entails. Obviously there’s going to be some seedy goings on, probably some characters will have their hearts in the right place. It will also involve those patrons with deep pockets and scandals! Hah! Talk about your scandals galore, just from the words “strip club” we know this place has scandals coming out its ears!

It’s set in the Mississippi Delta. Anytime a story like this is set in the South we know that there’s going to be great conflict because while the south can be a place for the seedy, it can also be a place of great judgement and we don’t know where Boaz’s character will fall. My own speculation is that he’ll be one of the high rollers that pass through because that’s just what happens in an environment like that. It is described as “Trap Music meets Film Noir” which is going to be quite the interesting mix.
So far, he’s just in the one episode in the season, but will he be returning? I guess if the series gets picked up for more than one season there’s always a possibility. Will it interfere with his Y&R gig? Well, let’s hope not! We’d certainly miss the new and budding romance between him and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) if that happened. For now I think it’s safe to say that this is just one of those pleasant little one-off “Hey, I know that guy!” occurrences. We wish him the best of luck in all his endeavors. Stay tuned!!!
