‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is forging a new other. For his whole life, he knew that he would be a part of the Newman Empire. He planned to follow after his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But that is all about to change.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Same Old, Same Old
Nick is honestly a little tired of the family dynamics at Newman Enterprises. The company is being run by his sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). She recently demanded that Nick take a leave of absence from his position as COO of Newman Enterprises.
Victoria said it was to help Nick because of all the personal issues he was going through. In reality though, she was looking for an opportunity to put Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) in his position.
Everyone in the family thought that Victoria should offer Nick the opportunity to take a break, but she demanded it. She dissolved his support team and put Nate in his spot.
Victor wanted Nick to help him with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Victor wanted Nick to do what he always does and help to keep his brother on the straight and narrow. Nick tried, but Adam was still Adam.
Now their business venture has fallen apart, and Adam has been given the boot. Victor has asked Nick to return to Newman to take over as co-CEO in Nikki Newmans (Melody Scott Thomas) old position. Nikki will be moving to head up Newman Media
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Different Path
Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) has made Nick a tempting offer. After the merger between Newman Media and SNA fell apart, Sharon came to Victor to beg to get her company back. Kirsten Incorporated was being merged with McCall Unlimited as SNA. Sharon wanted to get her portion back.
Victor agreed, and Sharon has asked Nick to help her get her company back in good shape. She encouraged him to break away from the family mess and to come help her instead. Nick remembers how they went into business together long ago, when they acquired the Crimson Lights Coffee Shop. That is a good memory for him.
Nick also senses perhaps that things are volatile at Newman Enterprises, and probably always will be. Victoria and Adam hate each other, and Victor has a soft spot for Adam. More changes are coming for Newman, and Nick feels like he would be better served to be out of there.
What do you think? Did Nick make a good choice, saying adios to Newman Enterprises?
