‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have been expecting just about anything to happen, but there’s a twist coming up we didn’t expect.
While there’s a chance one Abbott family war could end, another may be beginning and it could be far more bitter. This is going to be fun.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 29: Brother against brother
In a curious twist, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) may be playing off a hunch or trying to provoke Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) into do his and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)’s work for them.
He never really trusted Billy for wanting to help them, and when he outs Billy’s actions to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
This will start a fight between the brothers that will seem like it’s part of their plan, but afterwards Jack will stumble when he says he knows Billy’s demons but has faith and trusts him.
The latter may come a little late for Billy’s comfort, and this could create a serious division between them just when it looks like the way with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is ending.
Of course, this begs the question as to how and why the war could be ending. Let’s take a peek.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 29: Wonders never cease
‘Young and the Restless’ were thrown for a loop with this one, but it looks like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will do the unthinkable (to Ashley), and save Ashley’s life.
Yep, Ashley’s going to choke on a grape and Diane will save her with the Heimlich.
This will give Ashley something to think about. Since she hates Diane so much, one question she’ll have is if she would’ve done the same with Diane?
She may have if she realized Diane was really choking, but she would’ve hesitated. Diane won’t. This could be the wake up call Ashley needs to get over her hatred and realize what she’s done before it’s too late.
Of course, it’ll take some work and this will also give us a chance to see the real Tucker step forward. There’s a chance he’s been quietly nudging Ashley along her path of revenge while letting her do most of it herself.
This could be the turning point.
