‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that it may take quite a lot for Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) to remember that he is really Ned Quartermaine. What tactic will work the best to help him remember?

Ned’s mother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is tired of the fact that Ned can’t remember who he is. He is going to bars at all hours of the night and is playing music. Since he tripped and fell at the Metro Court pool and hit his head, he has suffered from a brain injury that makes him think he is Eddie Maine.
Eddie Maine was Ned’s stage name when he performed. But now, Ned Quartermaine doesn’t exist for him. He doesn’t remember anything about being Ned, even his family. No one is asking him about his childhood memories or trying to help him piece together the past. They just want him to remember who he is.
Tracy wants to commit Ned to an institution. Maybe there they could help him remember. Perhaps some shock therapy or a trained psychiatrist could start sorting through his mental mess. She is the only one who wants to go down this road. Is this the best option for bringing Ned back?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Family Methods
Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) won’t commit Ned to a mental hospital. She wants him at home but she also desperately needs him to remember who he is. She does cook some of his favorites and while he doesn’t remember they were his favorites; he is finding he really likes them.
Since Ned doesn’t remember her, he has been asking her about her life. He is learning about her, as if for the first time. Maybe something she says will jog a memory for him too.
Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda), Ned’s son, also really wants his father back. He doesn’t understand where his father is gone, because Eddie Maine is Ned. He looks just like Ned but doesn’t have Ned’s personality. This is hard for Leo to comprehend. But Leo and Eddie are connecting with each other, and that could jog something for Eddie.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is a capable musician like her father. Spoilers suggest that they might play some music together and perhaps that music and connection might bring Ned back to himself again.
