R&B singer Ne-Yo is already backtracking on his comments about parents who allow their kids to transition genders, now saying that he’s always been an advocate for inclusiveness.
He went on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday night to say, “After much reflection, I’d like to express my deepest apologies to anyone that I may have hurt with my comments on parenting and gender identity. always been an advocate for love and inclusivity in the LGBTQI+ community, so I understand how my comments could’ve been interpreted as insensitive and offensive.”
However, on Saturday, he sounded pretty passionate and honest about his views on parents allowing their young children to make such life-altering decisions when they are not even allowed to drive a car. The clip took off like a wildfire and VladTV’s interview was blowing up.

Ne-Yo Already BACKTRACKS On Comments Made About Not Allowing Kids To Transition Genders, Seems Absolutely FAKE
Ne-Yo explained that he grew up with two genders and has issues with others claiming to be whatever they want. “It becomes my business when you try to make me play the game.”
He told Gloria, “I feel like parents have almost forgotten what the role of a parent is. If your little boy comes to you and says, ‘Daddy, I want to be a girl.’ And you just let him rock with that? He’s 5. He can’t drive a car yet, but he can decide his sex?”
However, his post now feels like it was created by a publicist or someone else trying to counter the feedback he got from a handful of people. You can tell by the podcast that he meant what he said and felt what he said was right. It’s a shame to see him backtrack on something that is so important and should not be taken lightly.
The mob came for another, and sadly they won. There is no way the post was written by him, and it just shows the world today that everyone must be a cookie-cutter replica and say what people want to hear otherwise you will be accosted.
