Logan Paul admits that he and his father were “both legitimately concerned” that his brother, Jake, might commit suicide because of the unrelenting online abuse he endured early in his career.

The eldest Paul brother expressed his anxiety in the new Netflix documentary “Untold: Jake Paul the Problem Child”… where he also described the wrath Jake endured after a string of scandals brought him to the lowest point in his career.

“I mean, both my dad and I felt worried for my brother’s life,” Logan said. “Jake’s always been pretty emotionally unpredictable, and volatile. There was a point where we were both legitimately concerned that Jake was going to kill himself.”Whether Jake was actually considering something like this we’re not sure, but according to his brother who is around him all the time, he was genuinely concerned.

When Jake first became famous on YouTube, he was considered low-hanging fruit by internet trolls. He received criticism for absurd antics and reckless pranks that angered his neighbors, cost him his job on Disney’s “Bizaardvark,” and cost him lucrative sponsorship agreements.

“It was easy to rip me apart,” Jake said. “It became a thing to hate Jake Paul. It’s not easy to be hated by the whole entire world and it creates a very dark mental place.”

Jake, however, discovered a new calling in boxing, earning the admiration and respect of legendary boxers like Mike Tyson. Since then, Jake has defeated previous UFC fighters like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva. This weekend, he will face Nate Diaz in an effort to avenge his first professional defeat.

What do you think? Could something be done to curve out the internet hate or do you think people just need to get thicker skin to deal with nonsense people say on the computer? Let us know in the comments below.
