‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) definitely has a favorite child. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is just like him, and he apparently has the biggest soft spot for her.
No matter what she does, he doesn’t shut her down. The company always comes first for her, and he is good with that.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Acting Against Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)
Y&R’s Victoria is an ambitious woman. She wants to be in control, and she has big plans for Newman Enterprises. She is always going to stay one step ahead of the games and this is like her father.
Victoria started sleeping with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). They are attracted to each other, for they have similar drives and passions. Nate has honestly said he wants to make it to the top of the company.
Victoria saw a way to put him there. She demanded that her brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) take a leave of absence from the company.
While this was to be “temporary”, Victoria reassigned Nick’s support staff and gave his position to Nate. She also moved Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) into Nate’s position at Newman Media. These are big steps that smell of permanence.
Victor has stated more than once that he does not trust Nate Hastings. But even though he says that he allowed Victoria to remove Nick and let Nate lead? He allowed someone who is not even in the Newman family to have one of the highest positions, at the expense of his son? Victoria really can do whatever she wants.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Can’t Bring Peace
Victor’s son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria hate one another. They are always planning how to outperform one another or take the other person down.
Victor wants Adam in the family fold, but he never succeeds at convincing Adam to join him. Adam knows that Victor will always be controlling, and Adam doesn’t want that in his life.
Victor can’t get his daughter to behave when it comes to Adam. He has to rely on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to mend the bridges between his children. Yet, he doesn’t treat Nick all that well either. Victoria is the only one who gets all of his support, all of his encouragement, and all of the compliments.
What do you think? Do you agree that Victor plays favorites? How will that come back to bite him or will it? Share your thoughts!
