Alex Murdaugh is getting the cold shoulder from his son Buster after being convicted of double murder. Alex apparently made a phone call to his son to speak with him, but the call seemed voided of all relationship and personality, lasting just 43-seconds.
Alex, was convicted of brutally killing his wife Maggie and younger son Pail at their South Carolina home and is now serving two life sentences.
In the recording, obtained by FITS News, the conversation between the two appear to be short and Buster pretty much hangs up on Alex quickly. Alex opens the call by greeting his son, “Hey buddy.”
However, Buster seems like he just wants to end the call and quickly answers back with, “Hey I don’t have a whole of time I just boarded a ferry to go back to Hilton Head Island from Daufuskie (Island).”
Check out the call that was acquired by TMZ below.

Murdaugh then admits that he has been trying to get in touch with Buster, but with little success, as well as a man named Jim which seems to be referencing his lawyer, Jim Griffin.
Alex asks Buster to get Jim to contact him. Buster quickly responds with an, “Mm-kay.” Alex seems to want to know more, but Buster says that he can’t understand what he is saying because the line is breaking in and out.
Alex then ends the conversation by saying, “Proud of you.” There’s a long pause before Buster says, “alright” and “thanks” and Buster ends the call. It’s obvious that there is nothing going on between the two of them and Alex is trying to act as though he was still set up.
After the success of the Netflix documentary, I think we can all say that Murdaugh may have caught too much infamy, and we just need to let this man rot in his prison cell.
What do you think? Will Buster ever be able to live a normal life after all of this and is there any chance that Murdaugh will ever get out of prison? Let us know in the comments below.
