‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) may have something different in mind when they talk about ‘helping Phyllis’.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) doesn’t want to turn herself in until she knows that she can escape all charges. But is that really the best for Phyllis?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chaotic Friend
Y&R’s Michael and Lauren realize that their dear friend Phyllis is like a chaotic tornado. She is impulsive and selfish. She ends up making choices on the spur of the moment without really thinking things through.
She can be emotional and exhausting. But they really do love her. Even though she hurt them a lot by faking her death, they are just very thankful that she is alive.
At this point, she is facing some serious charges. With Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), she faked her death and then pinned it all on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). When she changed her mind and couldn’t bear the thought of starting a new life without her kids, Stark feared that she would put it all on him.
He decided it would be best to kill her, since she was “dead” any way. When he attacked her, she fought back and killed him in self-defense. But there were no witnesses to that, and they have found Stark’s body.
If, when Phyllis had just killed him, she had called the police and claimed that Stark made her do all of this and tried to kill her, then perhaps she could have had a plausible explanation. Instead, she tried to dump the body and erase the evidence. Now she has no way to prove that she was acting in self- defense at all.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Help from Friends
Phyllis has asked Michael if he will help her. He has agreed that he will do all he can. But, upon talking with his wife Lauren, it appears that they may have some other thoughts about what is best for Phyllis.
They really want to see her change some of her self-destructive behaviors and become more loving and “normal”. What exactly would that take and would it even be possible?
Michael seems to think that Phyllis could really benefit for some time behind bars. She would have to bear some consequences of her actions and that could help her impulsivity in the future.
Maybe she should think more before doing something crazy. Phyllis is not going to surrender easily though. She doesn’t want to spend time behind bars.
What do you think might help get reality into Phyllis’ head? Do you think it is possible? We also cover ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.
