Johnny Depp now has a bad ankle, which has temporarily sidelined him, so American admirers will have to wait a little longer to meet him in person.
According to sources close to the actor, Johnny’s planned American concerts with his band, The Hollywood Vampires, are being postponed on the advice of a medical professional due to a persistent lower-body ailment.
Depp recently strained his ankle while doing back-to-back Jeff Beck tribute performances. He further aggravated the injury by trying to push through some recent music gigs. You may remember that he was prominently featured for those in the U.K.
Now, Depp has a fractured ankle, and his medical staff has advised him not to travel for the foreseeable future, so the first three HV engagements are out of the question.
Johnny Depp Forced To Postpone Concerts With The Hollywood Vampires Due To Broken Ankle
The first performances took place in Bethel, NY, Boston, and Manchester, NH, all on the East Coast. According to reports, Johnny and his band are attempting to reschedule them for later in their tour, which will conclude up around late July when they will be in Europe.
This has disappointed Johnny, “Johnny went from two full days of press appearances in Cannes, straight to London for rehearsals and then played two tribute shows in honor of his dear friend, the late great Jeff Beck.”
They add, “His ankle was already bothering him at Cannes, and it got progressively worse, but he wanted to honor his commitments for ‘Jeanne du Barry’ and for Jeff. He’s devastated to postpone the shows, but his doctor believes flying could make the situation much worse. He plans to rest up so the European dates go off without a hitch.”
As mentioned, Johnny has been treating his health much more seriously since making a return. He has been getting plenty of rest and eating well, and this action is just more proof of that.
