General Hospital spoilers for the week of May 22nd reveal it’s all about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and the SEC situation. The clip, Under Pressure, shows Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) discussing a plan. It also has Ava Jerome (Maura West) issuing a warning, while Nina looks on the verge of a confession. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers: Plan of action
First, General Hospital spoilers indicate Drew and Carly are stressing the investigation by the SEC. Carly wants to know if there’s a way to beat this situation without turning on each other. Drew will suggest they go after whoever ratted them out. We think this one is a longshot. The SEC seems determined to see this through, and it looks like they’ve got enough to keep the investigation going. Even if Nina is exposed as the one who is behind that tip.
General Hospital spoilers: Tell me something I don’t know…
Elsewhere, Nina’s guilt might be getting to be too much for her. In the promo, Ava warns her that if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) finds out what she did, it’s over. We assume the pressure is getting to Nina and she once again is considering going with the truth. And we can’t with Ava. She’s a lot of fun, but we still think she’s about as responsible for this as Nina is. Yes, Nina had Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) make the call. That’s 100% on her. However, Ava is also the one who was egging Nina on when they put the pieces together. She doesn’t get to do that and then say “I was kidding” after the whole thing goes down.
As for Nina, there’s a clip of her and Sonny where Nina says she has to tell him something. General Hospital spoilers reveal she’s definitely feeling the guilt and we think she’s got every intention of the truth there. However, we don’t believe she’ll be confessing her guilt just yet. It’d be too soon, and she’ll likely come up with some lie to cover her near-confession.
General Hospital spoilers: Poor Ned
Finally, we think the heading says it all. It seems Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is still defending himself against the accusation he called the SEC. Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) will want to know who did then. If she doesn’t believe him after all the previous denials—and swearing on something important to him—we just don’t see Olivia coming around until there’s hard proof someone else is responsible.
