‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that it may be time for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to get back into music. His family is encouraging him to take another look at it because it is his gift. Will he go for it?

As a teenager, Devon contracted meningitis and it resulted in the loss of his hearing. This was a great challenge for him, but he was able to recover much of his hearing with a cochlear implant. Perhaps that loss of hearing for a time stirred the love of music in him.
Music has been a part of Devon’s story for his whole life. When he finished college, he got work as a photographer’s assistant to support himself as he tried to get a start in music.
He ended up producing music with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) for Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) music label. He continued with music production for various labels through the years.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Push for Music
Harmony Hamilton (Chene Lawson), Devon’s biological mother, has come to town for visit. She encourages Devon to reconsider music again. Harmony contends it is his talent and his gift.
She wants to see him involved in something that has his heart. While Devon expresses his love for music and that field, he has a lot on his plate right now and can’t give it is his focus.
She brings more music into his home by getting gifts for his son Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (River & Raine Ware).
She gets her grandson all of the baby instruments so he can try making music with all of them and see what he likes best. He already likes to play music, so she is encouraging that talent.
Harmony and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) visit while Devon checks on Dom. Dom was taking a nap but got woken. They hear Devon singing to him over the monitor as he helps him go back to sleep.
They look at each other knowingly, anticipating that music is never far from Devon’s heart.
