‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) really needs some help. He is too proud to admit it, but if he is really serious about wanting to beat his Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) addiction then he needs it.

Nate and Victoria are very attracted to each other. Victoria has not been shy about it and is pursuing Nate. Nate is definitely interested but has been trying to stay away from the temptation. However, he can’t seem to keep his guard up.
They have kissed on two different occasions and then Nate said that it needs to stop. He needs to prioritize his relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and his position at Newman Media.
Those are most important to him and while the attraction is there, he needs to stay loyal to his girl and his job.
However, this week, it fell apart again. The couple made out on Victoria’s desk before they were interrupted by Nicholas Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) knock on the door.
Nick knows what is going on and warns both of them that this is dangerous. Victoria doesn’t appreciate the warning and interference while it makes Nate regret their make-out session.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Needing Help
The best way to beat an addiction is having someone to help keep you accountable. It is hard to go it alone, as Nate is finding out. Several times now he has said, “No more” to Victoria but he can’t stop himself. She also doesn’t want him to stop. Even though he has said he doesn’t want it, she definitely won’t stop expressing her interest.
Nate doesn’t want to come clean with Elena because he is afraid that he will lose her. They have gone through so much in their relationship and she will either break it off with him or force him to leave his job at Newman. Either one is unacceptable for him.
His best option would be to ask Nick for help. Nick knows what is going on and doesn’t approve. Nate could ask him to attend every meeting that Nate has with Victoria. He could have Nick’s help to make sure he is not alone with Victoria.
While small steps like never having the door closed while meeting might help some, it would be better to have someone to help keep him accountable while keeping his confidence about the matter. If Nick is on board to help Nate overcome this, then Nick will be less likely to spill it all to Elena.
Nate it probably to macho for this, but if he really wants to succeed, he is going to have to humble himself and get some help. That’s the way to overcome temptation. What do you think? Will Nate ask for help or will he succumb to temptation again with Victoria, losing it all in the process?
