‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggests that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may want to consider carefully how much she shares with those who work for her.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Acquisition Trouble
For months, Victoria has been working on the process of acquiring McCall Unlimited from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). She wanted to acquire Tucker’s debt and then come in to sweep the company away from him. She worked on the preparations to get into a position to do that.
Surprisingly, as she was still in the preparation stages, Tucker came and offered to sell McCall Unlimited to Newman Enterprises. Victoria wasn’t going to get to take it from him in the way she would have preferred, but the tantalizing offer was on the table.
Before Victoria could agree, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) secretly bought up Tucker’s debt. She refuses to allow him to sell to Newman Enterprises and demands that he sell to his son, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
At this point, no amount of cajoling or sparring has succeeded in getting Tucker to reconsider Newman Enterprises. There does not seem to be a way to get the company away from him and into their hands.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sudden Change
While Victoria is not one to back away from a challenge, she is very concerned about her father’s plans for McCall Unlimited. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wants the company for the express purpose of handing it over to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to run. He wants his son to work for him again.
Adam has said he will not return to Newman Enterprises to work unless Victor strips Victoria of her job and title and gives it to Adam. Victor will not do that, so he compromises, hanging a tempting carrot in front of Adam even though he doesn’t even have the carrot yet!
Victoria has begun to realize that her father’s mind is made up about having Adam run McCall Unlimited. This is a problem for her. She has tried to express that to Victor, but he is difficult to dissuade when it comes to his children. Victoria decides that Newman Enterprises will no longer try to acquire McCall Unlimited.
She shares all of this with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), her right-hand man. Is this a wise idea? Will Nate use this inner family turmoil to improve his own position in the company? Will he betray Victoria’s confidence to improve his position with Victor Newman? What do you think? Leave your comments in the box below.
