90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Spoilers: Nicole Drops Major Bombshell Revealing Doubts About Her Islamic Conversion-‘A Crisis Of Faith’
Nicole has acknowledged that she is having doubts about her faith, following her decision to embrace Islam.
This has been seen through the disagreements that have emerged in their marriage. One such example has been Nicole’s resistance to wear more modest clothing and cover her body.
As such, Mahmoud has not approved of this. Not only that, but Nicole has made it clear in no uncertain terms that she does not want to wear a hijab.
And given that this is a key part of what Mahmoud wants, there are worries that their relationship is no longer tenable.
In her comments, she said: “I feel really, really uncomfortable because I’m having a bit of a crisis of faith. Mahmoud never forced me to convert to Islam, that was my choice.
“But sometimes I get confused because I don’t know if it’s actually Islam that I’m having a crisis with — or if it’s Mahmoud’s rules.”
This is crucial for the following reasons. First of all, it appears that Nicole is no longer willing to compromise on what she wants.
And given that she had already had conflicting views of whether she should move to Egypt, this may be the last straw. Secondly, given that Mahmoud’s family have failed to convince her too, how long can this last.
When Nicole met with Mahmoud’s relatives, they asked her about her decisions and made fun of her while advising Mahmoud to teach her about Islam and encourage her to wear a hijab once more.
Mahmoud made an effort to convey his family’s advice to Nicole, but she found it difficult to accept it as she felt that she had already made many concessions.
In an interview, Nicole disclosed the reasons for upholding her own values. She said: “I don’t answer because what I really want to tell them is that religion is very personal.
“And it’s nobody’s business why I’m not wearing the veil anymore. So, I don’t want to be rude.”
Time will tell how this all plays out, but based on what we have seen so far, things are not looking good. So there you have it folks.
