The ongoing feud between the Royal Family and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may result in them not receiving an invitation to attend this year’s Met Gala event.

The fundraising gala that takes place once every year is expected to be the most esteemed event on Hollywood’s red carpet, but it is unlikely that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend.
As per PR expert Jordan James, the Met Gala is scheduled to happen only five days before the coronation of King Charles III, but due to Harry and Meghan’s strained relationship with the royal family, they will not be invited to the gala.
In his comments, James said: “It certainly wouldn’t come as a major surprise if they were snubbed given their current status within the Royal Family and the ensuing drama.”
He further adds that if Meghan and Harry are invited to the Met Gala, it could improve their image in the US. Nevertheless, he believes that they will probably decline the invitation if it is extended to them.
Jordan noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not attend this year’s Oscars, indicating a change in their public image.
His following comments confirmed as much: “While the couple isn’t always known for laying low, I think we are beginning to see a shift in how they want to be presented – whether this is truly by choice though we may never know.”
In addition to this, the Kardashian family has reportedly been excluded from the guest list of the Met Gala, along with Harry and Meghan, as Vogue editor Anna Wintour enforces stricter selection criteria for the attendees.
The celebrity was present at the same occasion in the previous year along with her siblings. And yet, she did create a lot of controversy with her Marilyn Monroe dress.
There were claims that she may have starved herself in order to fit in the dress. Meanwhile, other reports stressed that the dress may have been damaged in the aftermath.
The social media response was damning. A certain subset of people made it clear that the couple did not have enough star power to justify an invite. Therefore, the comments were brutal indeed.
One person wrote: “Who would invite two self-made laughing stocks like GINGE & CRINGE to their parties and galas? No self-respecting Hollywood celebrity would stoop to inviting these two.”
