‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has asked Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to marry him, shocking Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). The news will be coming this week and the preview is a trainwreck we can’t look away from!
The sheer shock and disappointment on Kyle’s face to the way Jack happily announced the news was gold, but, I think the most important person we need to hear from is Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and what he reaction will be to the news of Jack and Diane getting engaged.

Phyllis has been in a bad place lately and has even been getting a bit too close to Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). She found out where Diane was staying and texted Stark immediately. Her disgust and hatred of Diane have reached superhuman levels and there doesn’t seem to be any for this to end, unless of course, one of them ends up dead.
When Phyllis hears about the engagement, it could very well be her breaking point and we will witness her going off the deep end (if that hasn’t happened already). While she has cheated on Jack every time they’ve been together, there always seems to be something between them and it’s odd that she would care so much about his personal life.
If he was getting engaged to anyone else, I don’t think it would be a big deal, but here we are. Because it is Diane, it is the end of the world for her and she will do whatever it takes to get even. While we believe Kyle will try to stop this marriage, Phyllis may actually have something to agree with Kyle about and help him in his efforts!
