Mikayla Nogeira was in Arizona for the Superbowl, and of course she posted pictures on her Instagram showing off the celebration she was at with her fiancé, Cody. However, in one of the pictures she was holding up a vodka seltzer while posing next to Cody, and anyone who is familiar with sobriety knows that that is not cool.
Her followers went off on her, but Mikayla wasn’t taking it lying down. Unlike lashgate, she is actually responding to the comments in question. Did she learn her lesson from her silence on lashgate? Or is it simply because she wasn’t contractually obligated to hold her tongue that made her reply?

Some of the comments were saying that she was being disrespectful to Cody because he is in sobriety and that she shouldn’t be taking him to events where there is alcohol. They are right, it is incredibly disrespectful to someone who is in active sobriety to take them to a place that serves alcohol. She says that Cody may be sober but does not expect anyone else to be.
In fact, he she says that he gets offended when other people refuse to drink around him because of his own addiction. Considerate of him but could be argued that he is playing a dangerous game, still, his life, his choices. There is also speculation that the whole picture on Instagram was an ad for the Vodka Seltzer that Mikayla didn’t properly disclose and that the only reason she posted with the drink was to get paid.
But once called out for that by one of her followers she assured them that that wasn’t the reason she was posing with the drink, but rather it was because she liked how the picture looked. She said, “I don’t owe that drink company nothing, that’s just what they served me when I went to the bar.”
But… don’t you have to order a drink first? Bartenders aren’t psychic, no matter how much of an expert at making drinks they are. So we kind of call BS on that one. Also she told one follower that all she drank was sprite at the party, in the picture where she’s holding the vodka seltzer!!! We’re calling BS.
She says in the post that there is “0 promotion” but we’re not so sure. The trip to the Superbowl was sponsored by Fenty Beauty, we wonder if the party was sponsored by the drink company in partnership with Fenty. It would be interesting to know, but for now Mikayla says that she didn’t get paid, we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt… for now. Stay tuned!!!
