Brendon Urie, the lead vocalist of Panic! at the Disco, is closing a HUGE chapter in his life because, according to him, his band, which lasted for almost 20 years, is no longer. Brendon informed his countless followers of the news on Tuesday morning, beginning with the words, “Well, it’s been a hell of a journey.”

He continues by mentioning how excited he and his wife are to be having a child, but that he will have to put his music on hold in order to concentrate on his family. Brendon announced, “Thank you all for your immense support over the years … Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or are just finding us, it has been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many talented people but also share our time with you.”

The singer continues by expressing his thanks before adding, “I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Europe and the UK for one last run together. I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for existing.”

Brendon’s childhood buddies helped start Panic! in 2004, and the band quickly gained notoriety after their first big hit, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” was released the following year.

With songs like “Nine in the Afternoon,” “High Hopes,” “This is Gospel,” “House of Memories,” and others, the band would go on to top the charts. However, as the years passed, the band would go through a number of different band members, eventually becoming a solo project in 2015.

Some fans took to their music videos to say thank you for the era, “end of an era. thank you for the memories, panic <3”, “We will always love Panic! ❤️ We are gonna miss you”, “I’m just here reliving this masterpiece, I will wait for your return, my king :3” and “It’s a great run! Thank you for the music and hoping to hear you playing live in possible future! 🤘“
